Delilah
Sensuality - The down-to-earth

Delilah is in the Old Testament, the central figure of Samson’s last love story (Judges 16). She was a Philistine who, bribed to entrap Samson, coaxed him into revealing that the secret of his strength was his long hair.
Delilah, her name means 'she who weakened'. Her figure is always portrayed as a temptress. Kristen Schaer (poet) brings a reimagined version of the story to BUYW. To quote Kristen, "a gnostic/Feminist look at Delilah -- not as a temptress or femme fatale but as a cunning woman who used her skills as a barber to wrench Samson's secrets and it was indeed her crafting of words and prowess with the scissors and blade that helped her, not her original sin or the madonna whore complex."
