Izzy Lee was born a small, strange child in Massachusetts. She had rock fights with the neighborhood boys while wearing jewel-tone velvet dresses with lace trim. She hasn't changed much.
Having been seduced by the uniquely capitvating voice of Vincent Price, Izzy then went on to watch everything starring Price and soon went on to watch everything horrorific she possibly could. Fast-forward a few decades...
Izzy became a film festival programmer at both the Boston Underground Film Festival and Boston Science Fiction Film Festival. She also began writing for the leading horror magazines Rue Morgue
and Diabolique, and is now a contributor to Twitch Film and Fangoria.
In the fall of 2012, Izzy began making films, suddenly spurred on by some ridiculous things certain ridiculous politicians said about women's bodies. Her reaction was born in the short horror film LEGITIMATE. The film is currently in the film festival submission stage. The world premiere of LEGITIMATE played in the "Women of Horror" block at the Massachusetts Independent Film Festival on August 16, 2013. The next night, the film's Canadian premiere was held at the Mascara & Popcorn film festival in Montreal. Many screenings followed.
On March 28, 2014, Picket, Izzy's second short film, premiered at the Boston Underground Film Festival in the Homegrown Horror block to a sold-out audience. The film has been garnering rave reviews and will be touring the festival circuit.
