Kristilyn/Zombie Romance: At a young age, Kristilyn became obsessed with cartoons and made her own flip books and four panel comic strips from large reams of old school printer paper.
In 2000, she ran off to Boston to study cartoons at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. After her time with the Museum School, she assisted in the conception and launching of fellow artist, Leslie Hall’s acclaimed musical performance group “Leslie and the Ly’s,” acting as a key band member and merchandise designer. Her music videos for the band have been broadcasted on Fuse network’s television show “Munchies.”
In 2007, while painting lampshades in a sweltering studio in Western Massachusetts, Kristilyn conceived her freelance art business and personal brand, Zombie Romance. Under this handle, she designs a variety of spooky sundries and retails prints of her artwork.
Kristilyn regularly participates in numerous gallery shows around the east coast- from her hometown of Boston, to New York City to Asheville and beyond. Her clients include Mary Bichner, Bent Knee, The Alterna-Tease Festival and the Green Mountain Cabaret.
When Kristilyn isn’t illustrating or creating a fine artistic piece, she can often be found drawing local music and performance talent in Boston's premier cabaret venues or at home tending to her small flock of felines.
